No-show shame

No-show shame. What do you think about people who book tables at restaurants and don’t show up? Rude, right?

In the last month some of you’ve cancelled due to friends testing COVID-19 positive, other illnesses - you name it, but most of you called to let us know - despite the personal anxiety you were undoubtedly experiencing we’re grateful you still picked up the phone, and we wished you well, of course. Classy and all round top people 💯😍👌

One couple, on the other hand took it to a whole new level after being advised they wouldn’t be able to re-book due to not showing up (and not cancelling). That’s our policy. They became very angry and threatened our business. A week later they carried out the second part of that threat (first was a 1 star “review”), and under a different name / number booked for 10 people at 8pm the following Friday and didn’t show up! How did we know it was them? They couldn’t resist messaging us to say: “Hope you remember us and have a great evening!”

We decided not to go down the legal route as we didn’t think they were deserving of our time and energy, especially during this immensely fun time we’re having at our summer pop up

This disgusting incident highlighted how lucky we are to have such amazing customers and how committed we’ll remain to keeping the trash outside. Boom!
